Welcome to A Boy and His Brain
Hey, I’m The Boy, and this is my brain. Well, sort of. It’s really just my attempt to understand what’s going on up there, and maybe help you understand yours along the way, too.
This project came from a real curiosity about why we think the way we do. Not from a scientific or academic angle, but from a personal one. I wanted to understand the stuff that happens in our heads every day: habits, moods, language, memory, all of it.
After a few rough patches (as life tends to hand out), I started digging. Books, research, odd conversations, rabbit holes that led to other rabbit holes. What I found is that the brain is endlessly strange, surprisingly practical, and more involved in the way we live than we usually realize.
A Boy and His Brain is where I make sense of what I’m learning. You’ll find:
-
Brain Bites – short, approachable posts on interesting facts or ideas
-
Deep Dives – longer pieces that take a closer look at specific topics
-
Language – how words shape our thoughts, beliefs, and actions
-
Trips – experiments and personal trials with brain-related tools and techniques
-
Logs – personal reflections, observations, and updates along the way
This isn’t a lecture, and it’s definitely not a textbook. It’s more like a journal with footnotes. If you’re curious about the brain and the mind and want to explore it in a way that’s both practical and personal, you’re in the right place.
Thanks for being here.
